Silver & Salt is the creative initiative of Melissa Anderson. Melissa is a multi award winning Master photographer based in Brisbane, Australia. As a third generation photographer, Melissa developed an interest in photography from a very early age, and at the age of 18 launched her first photographic studio.
Melissa has over two decades of hands on photographic experience, and teaching, business, and photography qualifications. Throughout her career she has received numerous professional accolades, including state and national titles. Her images have been published and exhibited internationally. Melissa holds a Master I of Photography with the AIPP, and is an accredited member of the Australian Institute of Photography. She has presented workshops and speaking assignments throughout Australia and internationally.
Over the past decades she has volunteered her time through the AIPP national board, and local state involvement, and she is a respected photographic judge. Melissa is passionate about photography and education, and enjoys giving back through the medium that she loves. She is currently involved in several ongoing projects to make the world a better place, one image at a time.
Facilities
Our workshops are conducted both on our premises, and out and about on location. Our premises are located in Capalaba, Brisbane. We have a darkroom, studio space, outdoor shooting space, teaching space, and a coffee machine and photographic library to peruse on breaks.
Class sizes
We believe in quality, over quantity. We limit the numbers of attendees to our workshops. Each workshop is different depending upon the equipment and amount of supervision required. Workshop and classes are dependant upon minimum numbers being enrolled.
